Like any business, we have lots of competitors. Maybe some of them have called on you. If they haven’t yet, they will. And when they do, one of the first things they’ll talk about is price.

Price is obviously very important – one of our mantras at Advantage Graphics is “exceeding your expectations, not your budget”- but there are many other factors that play a key role in the successful implementation of your marketing campaign and the effectiveness of the promotional product you choose:

Creativity. Are the ideas your provider comes up with cutting through the clutter and achieving your marketing goals? Are they pro-actively offering suggestions and ideas throughout the year, or just taking orders?  Do they have an in-house graphics department?  Do they consult with you regarding the target audience and desired results?

Quality. Do the products you use have a high perceived value? Will they last? Will logoed apparel stand up under repeated washing/wearing? Remember that your company’s image and reputation are a reflection of the imprinted items you distribute.

Turnaround time. Is on-time delivery guaranteed? Does your provider bird-dog the order from start to finish, provide you with tracking numbers, and follow up with you after the product has been delivered?

Availability. Will the items you choose be in stock if you need to re-order? Regarding apparel, will “Big ‘n Tall” sizes be as readily available as sizes S-XL?  Does your corporate apparel include matching ladies companion styles?

Imprint. Does your imprint adhere to your company’s graphic standards?  Is the color and representation of your logo consistent from product to product?

These key considerations are just as important as pricing, if not moreso. Taken together, they will help you maximize your promotional dollars and make your next marketing campaign more successful.
