Incentives for Maximum Loyalty

The old saying “a bird in hand is worth two in the bush” has never been more true. During tough economic times, you should actively build loyalty with your employees and with your customers. It’s just too costly to replace good people and valuable clients.

Did you know, for example, that the average cost-per-hire for a small business tops $9,000? That’s according to the Society for Human Resource Management, which factors in costs for everything from recruitment to screening to training. Acquiring new customers takes time and money too. It’s far more economical to build the business you have with current clients.

Incentives will help you keep your employees and encourage more volume and repeat business from your customers. Luckily there are many price points and types of incentives available that effectively motivate recipients without breaking the bank.

Gift cards are one such option. I have sources that provide gift cards for well-known retailers and brands that can be customized with your own company logo. People love the opportunity to select their preferred reward; gift cards give them the luxury of choice. Travel gift cards also reward loyalty, helping recipients to take a well-deserved break from work to recharge and recommit to their tasks when they return to the office.

Speaking of luxury, use incentives to pamper your best employees for their length of service or for reaching exceptional goals. Spa products; a nicely engraved Wenger watch or fine pocket knife; a quality, personalized writing instrument – you can give nice gifts that are reasonably priced. In addition, a subtle, sophisticated imprint will ensure the recipient is reminded of your relationship.

Build more solid relations by offering incentives that relate to your employee or customers’ interests. Choose health/fitness equipment such as an Everlast Resistance Band kit for exercise enthusiasts. Stanley tools appeal to audiences who enjoy working with their hands. Electronics, such as a Bose Sound dock or a Sony Digital camera, make a strong statement of appreciation for those who love music or photography.

When you engage your audience in a meaningful leisure activity via targeted incentives, your company becomes associated with a positive experience for the employee or customer. This in turn builds loyalty.

Give me a call and I can help you pinpoint the activities, brands or types of gift cards that will have meaning for your audience!
