This holiday season why not celebrate with a “green” message? That’s right, look for ways to make your clients smile with environmentally sound holiday gifts. There are many promotional options available that will make your customers feel special as well as make a statement about your company’s care for the planet.
There are, for example, plenty of recycled products to choose from this year. Recycled plastics have been made into everything from ice scrapers to mugs. Recycled paper creates the perfect palette for notepads, holiday cards, calendars and diaries.
Organic cotton makes t-shirts, hats and bags all the more appealing as gifts for the environmentally conscious.
Biodegradable gifts are another option, also making a positive mark with the green-minded. We know a company that offers a range of items created from corn resin – from bookmarks to canisters that you can then fill with holiday peppermints. Or, go natural with live tree seedlings that are mailed in a tube to the recipient.
Make it easier for your customers to live green in the New Year with a green-lifestyle gift. Retailers, for example, can gift burlap or hemp shopping totes to their customers so that they can avoid using plastic bags in the future. Attractively designed stainless steel water bottles are a perfect replacement for those old polycarbonate water bottles. Or, use printed seed paper holiday cards to send your holiday wishes.
The key to all these gift programs is to tie in your holiday wishes with the concept of care for the planet. Take the opportunity to make your gesture a symbol of your company’s good corporate citizenship. After all, 91% of Americans say they have a more positive image of a company that is environmentally responsible, according to the 2007 Cone Consumer Environmental Survey. That leads to more consumer loyalty.
