We’re Waist-High in Boxes…

Beth M.Levine, OwnerIn just a few weeks, Multi Media Promotions will be moving into a new office. More space! We owe it all to our customers. Ever since we started the business they’ve given us opportunity after opportunity to help them make the most of their promotional marketing budgets. Know that we’re grateful and will continue to do everything we can to make you look good in the eyes of your target audiences.

This month’s newsletter features ideas on using electronics as promotional gifts (they are no longer cost prohibitive!) and suggestions for making an invitation so impressive it ensures a large number of attendees at your event. Be sure to read both articles, along with the piece about Lambda Americas, a client whose trade show gift-giving dilemmas we solved.

As always, I’m here to help – so call me at 516-935-0553, or send me an e-mail to talk about your marketing challenges.

Memorable Trade Show Giveaways

Selecting trade show giveaways is tough. You want your gift to be memorable, fun, functional, representative of your image, not a budget-breaker…in other words, the works! It’s not always an easy feat.

Recently we helped Lambda Americas (www.lambda-hp.com), a New Jersey-based manufacturer of AC-to-DC Programmable Power Supplies, select a variety of products to give out at trade shows. We also helped with representative recognition gifts and customer gifts. LA exhibits at many trade shows each year and are always on the lookout for new, creative and tech-savvy products.

Lambda Americas’ selections – a yo-yo with artwork to demonstrate that the company is international; a keyboard cleaner brush, ideal for every computer user; the dartboard, for its originality and high perceived value – have been well received by clients and prospects across the country.

Got an event coming up? Need to show your appreciation of clients or employees? Tell us your objective and your budget and let us brainstorm on your behalf! Call us at 516-935-0553 or send us an e-mail to get the process rolling.

Electronics: Watts Current?

Not long ago electronics were mostly thought of as high-end awards and executive gifts. Lately they’ve become more commonplace as logoed items that can support product launches, special events, direct mail campaigns, and other promotional programs.

Here are a few reasons to use electronics:

  • Many target audiences are more tech-savvy these days.
  • Electronics generally experience little wear and tear compared to other types of products, so recipients tend to keep them for a longer period of time. As a result, your message stays in front of your target audience longer.
  • Electronics have a high perceived value, which in turn means a stronger impact.
  • The utilitarian nature of electronics makes them appealing as promotional items.
  • These items create attention, conversation, and yield lasting impressions.

Today, the list of electronics being used as promotional products is massive – from calculators and electronic organizers to thermometers and pedometers, as well as USB memory sticks and flash drives for computers. And don’t forget alarm clocks, book lights, digital cameras, voice recorders, FM-scanning radios and laser pointers!

Electronics are a perfect way to promote an “edgy” image, outfit recipients who are on the road a lot or equip meeting attendees; they’ll appreciate anything that helps them save time and make their lives easier. They’re also great in incentive and recognition programs for employees, or as a special thank-you gift for a key vendor or customer.

The next time you’re looking for something unique for your clients, prospects or employees to remember you, think electronics. To learn more about electronics, send us an e-mail or call us at 516-935-0553.

  Event Invitations That Score!

Your event will only be as successful as its invitation. Here are five ways to insure a home-run invitation that gets opened:

Invitations should be cleverly thematic. Forget the obvious, such as using car-shaped stationery for an auto show. Try screen-printing a guest pass on a keychain, then add a note card specifying the date/time of the event. Tie it all together with a message like, “Rev up for an exciting showcase of automotive ingenuity.”

Use quality invitations. If the paper is flimsy, the copy has poor grammar or the print job is splotchy, why should the person you’re inviting think the event will be top-rate? We’ll ensure that every aspect of your invitation suggests a quality event.

Make invitations interactive. For example, send jars of spaghetti sauce with customized labels to announce an Italian dinner. Enclose a “recipe” card stressing the recipient is a key ingredient to the occasion’s success.

Invitations should be personalized. Digital technology allows for inexpensive personalization. We’ll treat each person on your guest like the VIP he/she wants to be.

Invitations should be bulky. Make your invite stand out in a pile of mail with unusual packaging. Try shaped boxes, vinyl envelopes filled with confetti or items with sound-chips to intrigue potential guests. Cards that play “Auld Lang Syne” ring in a New Year’s invitation, for example, or fireworks tubes make a wonderful tie-in for July 4th picnics.

Give us a call at 516-935-0553 or send us an e-mail to talk about your next event and how to entice as many invited guests as possible to say “Can’t wait!”
